Happy January! Do you know what happens in January every year? No, I am not talking about New Year’s resolutions, post holiday stress syndrome, or the drag of winter. It’s the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market!! That would be 20,000 gift and home décor lines at the Dallas Market Center, a 15 story building filled with new, cool stuff that we brought back to Omaha for our awesome clients!
We paid the price of sore feet and teeming brains to search for some great new vendors that we consider unique, stylish, and affordable. We had strict criteria and we found some amazing products!
Overall, the theme of the week was… lighting! Ceilings full of the coolest fixtures ranging from traditional crystal chandeliers that would take a team of Windex stockholders to clean to modern industrial pendants in the coolest shapes and metals. So, get ready to switch out your jewelry, I mean your lighting, because we fell in love.
We saw a lot of rustic accent furniture, accessories, and wall art made with raw pieces of wood, wrought iron, and simple lines. Our favorite part of this style of décor is pairing it with more modern finishes – glass, acrylic, mirrored surfaces, and glazed ceramic.
One of our favorite new vendors is Light & Living, which will provide accent furniture, accessories, lamps, light fixtures, and textiles. Their goal is to continue to surprise with new collections filled with new products with optimal value for the money. Um, yes please! This is what we are talking about…
Collectively, we decided Portico was another new favorite. This vendor will provide similar pieces to the Fluff ensemble, but we loved the distinct look of its product lines (especially the Petal Lane magnet boards!) Translation… unique, cool stuff!
