As designers, there’s nothing quite as fun as an empty room, a new client with great taste and a “house” that needs to become a “home.”
This young family recently built a beautiful house and needed everything, floor to ceiling, to furnish their main floor spaces. This can be a little overwhelming! We put together a design presentation for them based on the information that we gathered during initial consultation and they loved it all! So, we were off and running!
The rug was our inspiration for the space. We love the pattern and the bright, cheery blue. We used it as our “jumping off place” and it influenced all the other choices we made in the room. As we put this design together, we chose upholstery and furniture finishes that are textured, distressed, and forgiving. Our client tells us that their house is perfect and that it went from being a “house” to a “home.” And for us, there’s no greater compliment!
