What part of the design process excites you most, and why?
I’m most excited by the creative challenge of bringing together all the right elements that make a home truly reflect each homeowner’s unique personality and lifestyle. I love listening to their needs and translating that into a space that not only functions beautifully but also feels like a place they’re proud to call home.
What’s one signature detail or personal touch you bring to your work?
As a mom of young kids and a natural homebody, I bring a thoughtful, practical approach to design. My goal is always to create spaces that feel beautifully lived-in—where comfort, durability, and style work hand in hand to support real everyday life.
What experiences, passions, or inspirations outside of work shape your sense of style and the way you create beauty?
A couple of lesser-known facts about myself—I grew up on a farm, and I also have a deep love for painting. Both experiences continue to shape my design style. I’m drawn to natural, textural elements from my upbringing and the use of color and composition that I explore through art. Together, they inspire me to create spaces that feel grounded, layered, and expressive.

What part of the design process excites you most, and why?
I get most excited during the early stages when you can explore ideas and build the overall feel of a space. I love thinking about how color, layout, and small details can shape the space. It feels really creative, and it’s where you can experiment the most and incorporate inspiration from things you have seen or experienced.
What’s one signature detail or personal touch you bring to your work?
I like to incorporate color and layering as a personal touch in my designs. I love creating visually interesting spaces where there’s always something to look at or discover. I want people to walk in and notice new details the longer they’re in the space, so it feels engaging and memorable.
What experiences, passions, or inspirations outside of work shape your sense of style and the way you create beauty?
Traveling is a big passion of mine. I love seeing how different places use color, patterns, and design in everyday life. I also get inspired just by exploring new environments and paying attention to small details. It makes me want to create spaces that feel fun, unique, and memorable where people can look around and always find something to admire.

What part of the design process excites you most, and why?
There’s nothing quite like beginning a new project when everything is a possibility! My top Gallup strengths—ideation, positivity, and activator—combine to mean that the initial dreaming, planning, and start-up phases are where I get to use my superpowers and turn my client’s visions and dreams into reality.
What’s one signature detail or personal touch you bring to your work?
Hosting family and friends is one of my greatest joys. The very best memories are created around the table, so I’m always on the lookout for those special opportunities that make our clients feel comfortable and excited to welcome guests into their homes.
What experiences, passions, or inspirations outside of work shape your sense of style and the way you create beauty?
Our love for travel has deepened lately, especially since two of our three sons and their families moved to Nashville and Italy! But no matter where we go, my heart has always been anchored in the concept of home and family. It truly is the most important place in our lives. The comfort, beauty, and livability of our spaces profoundly influence how we experience everyday moments. I feel incredibly blessed to be in a profession that allows me to create environments that help positively impact families, individual lives, and foster meaningful connections. And yes, I absolutely believe that good design can have that kind of power.

What part of the design process excites you most, and why?
I absolutely love the client reveal. It’s incredibly rewarding to see all the steps and selections clients have made with their designer come to life. My role at Fluff Interior Design allows me to be involved in the entire process, and witnessing the clients’ reactions as they step into their transformed space is truly the best part of my job!
What’s one signature detail or personal touch you bring to your work?
I bring my organization. In my role at Fluff Interior Design, I am responsible for managing all client orders and I am a part of every client install. My goal is to ensure that by the time of install, everything is accounted for. This allows the designers to fully concentrate on the details of the space.
What experiences, passions, or inspirations outside of work shape your sense of style and the way you create beauty?
I find joy and happiness when I’m at home, sharing laughter and meals with family and friends. My goal at the end of every project is to ensure our clients experience that same sense of joy and contentment in their own homes.

What part of the design process excites you most, and why?
What excites me most about the design process is when the ideas begin to take shape. I love being able to see the client’s reaction to their space connecting with their creativity. It’s nice being able to create a space that’s not only beautiful to the eye but also meaningful and effective.
What’s one signature detail or personal touch you bring to your work?
One signature detail I bring to my work is the art of storytelling with design. I like being able to create something that is functional while also playing into the client’s experience within the space.
What experiences, passions, or inspirations outside of work shape your sense of style and the way you create beauty?
One of my passions outside of work is hair styling. I am a licensed cosmetologist since 2015 and have loved it ever since. Being able to help people feel beautiful from the inside out is such an inspiration to my work. Creating beauty isn’t always surface level, it’s much deeper, and being a part of that process is so rewarding.

What part of the design process excites you most, and why?
I really enjoy the in-between phase of a project! The point where ideas start to take shape, and collaboration becomes more intentional. It’s that stage where the pieces begin to connect, and you can start to see the bigger picture coming into view. There’s a quiet excitement in watching the design evolve from concept to reality.
What’s one signature detail or personal touch you bring to your work?
I have a deep love for vintage aesthetics. I enjoy finding pieces, whether it’s furniture or small accents, that feel like they already belong in a space. I always try to bring that sense of warmth and personality into my work.
What experiences, passions, or inspirations outside of work shape your sense of style and the way you create beauty?
My sense of style is inspired by a variety of sources—fashion, architecture through the decades, and the interiors of homes. I find that seeing how other creatives approach design always gives me fresh perspectives and inspires new ideas in my own work.

What part of the design process excites you most, and why?
I really enjoy presentations with the client! There’s a lot of time, effort, and thoughtfulness that goes into our designs and I enjoy the anticipation of being able to showcase all of that and see the client’s reaction! I’m always striving to be a better designer and these meetings are great to receive feedback and improve the design!
What’s one signature detail or personal touch you bring to your work?
I love exploring every possible design direction before landing on the best one. I think considering all the options—even the unexpected ones—ensures that the final result not only looks beautiful, but also feels right for the space and the client.
What experiences, passions, or inspirations outside of work shape your sense of style and the way you create beauty?
I find inspiration everywhere from restaurants, hotels, to unexpected outdoor spaces. I’m constantly collecting ideas from social media as well and learning from other designers, contractors, and lighting experts, etc. Hearing about their experiences and challenges helps me stay proactive and thoughtful in my own design process. It’s all part of becoming a more well-rounded designer and soaking up as much knowledge as I can along the way.
