We’ve worked with this family several times and this time the parents of this very lucky girl surprised her with a room makeover for her 13th birthday! Not ONLY did she get a room makeover, but she switched from an upstairs room to the lower level, giving her a little more freedom and space to herself!
We kept all of her existing furniture and transitioned from the bright teal and hot pink room accessorized with stuffed animals to a sophisticated palette of blush, rose, mauve, soft greys, and touches of gold that can grow into throughout her teenage years.
Floating shelves were also key for a potential reading corner down the road and a great place to display photos with friends.
We knew a full-length mirror was an absolute must. The birthday girl had been begging her mom about one for quite some time – and this gold beauty does not disappoint! I wonder how many outfit changes it will see between now and when she goes to college? 🙂
We got all of the insight on what this birthday girl would love from her Mom who has been a client three times already! Mom knew that she loved quotes, phrases, and words, so we made sure to add a few of those into pillows, art, and a letterboard she’ll be able to easily switch up.
